Vector Map Makerby Erick Johnson Design

Maps you can actually cut.
Real vector, straight from OpenStreetMap.

Most map generators hand you a picture in an SVG wrapper — fine for a screen, useless for a laser. This one exports true vector paths for every road, park and shoreline, sized in millimetres, colour-coded for engrave, score and cut. Or pick a colour scheme and print it.

1 · Import into your laser software

The SVG opens at true size in millimetres in xTool Studio, LightBurn or Glowforge. Assign by colour: black → Engrave, blue → Score, red → Cut.

2 · Start with these settings

3 mm basswood on a 10 W diode: score roads at about 40% · 100 mm/s, engrave areas at 70% · 200 mm/s, cut at 100% · 6 mm/s. Test on a scrap first — every board is different.

3 · Or just print it

Pick any colour scheme, add the caption, and download a 300 dpi PNG or the SVG for a print shop. Coaster, 12×12 and poster sizes are one click.
